Hydroseeding establishes new vegetation very quickly stabilizing slopes and ditches before erosion cuts become an issue. Hydroseeding is very effective on those hard to get at projects where quick surface cover is needed to prevent erosion.

When erosion control is a concern, we add tackifiers to the slurry. This increases the "stickiness" of the slurry, both to itself and to the soil. Useful on slopes, berms, canals or anywhere erosion control is a concern.

FLEXTERRA HP-SGM

InstaLawn uses the latest hydraulically-applied products and techniques for erosion control including FLEXTERRA HP-SGM. Applied with a hydroseeder, the mixture of wood fiber, tackifier and bonding agents reduces soil loss and water runoff, providing an effective guard against erosion. In many cases, FLEXTERRA HP-SGM outperforms biodegradable erosion control blankets. With its high-water-holding capacity and excellent adherence to the soil surface, a layer of FLEXTERRA HP-SGM retains moisture and reduces under-rilling and tenting. By securing the seed and fertilizer until vegetation is established. The applications can protect virtually any slope and soil type, including near-vertical surfaces. Furthermore, because FLEXTERRA does not damage existing vegetation, it can be used on slopes with some existing vegetation.
